Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I hope you will join me in supporting the Asthma & Allergy Foundation of America, Alaska Chapter by sponsoring my fundraising climb of Mt. Denali (formerly Mt. McKinley).
On May 13, 2017 I arrive in Talkeetna to start the climb. At 20,310 ft., Denali is the highest mountain in North America. My goal is to support www.aafaalaska.com , and organization that provides education and advocacy to families, patients, health care providers and child care providers. Programs include a residential summer camp program for kids with asthma, a childcare/educator training program, educational webinars and an annual medical conference. The majority of funds raised will support the summer camp program called Peninsula Puffers. 65% of campers attend on a full scholarship and the remaining camper fees are greatly subsidized.
Your donations are tax deductible gifts to AAFA Alaska which is a 501c3 Non-Profit organization.
I have lived in Alaska for 11 years and I fell in love with the mountains my first year here. This will be my first attempt at Denali and am very excited for this adventure. I am not only excited for this climb but for the opportunity to raise awareness for asthma and allergies and know that you and I will be making a difference in the lives of people with asthma and allergies across Alaska.
There are two ways to help:
---- Sponsor me with a donation, (any amount much appreciated) at the "Donate" button below and forward this link to others via email or post it in your facebook account:
---- Donate a penny or two per foot of the climb if you are feeling ambitious!
Many thanks for your support -- please forward this to anyone who you think might be interested or inspired by this effort!
