About Us
Our Mission:
The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, Alaska Chapter is a non-profit
organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for people
affected by asthma and allergies through education, collaboration with
community resources, support and research.
Who Belongs:
Children and adults with asthma and/or allergies
Health care professionals
Caregivers, daycare providers, and school personnel
Others interested in educating the public about asthma and allergies
What We Do:
Provide educational programs and information about asthma and allergies.
Partner with the medical community in support of disease management and
education
Advocate on behalf of Alaskans with asthma and allergies
With your help, AAFA is making a difference:
By becoming
a member of the Alaska Chapter of AAFA, you will be helping countless
individuals in your community who suffer from asthma and allergies. Your
membership dollars help fund vital scientific research to discover causes
and cures for asthma and allergic diseases; supply local Alaskan schools
with peak flow meters, spacers and educational materials for students
with asthma and allergies; and help get the tools of asthma management
to people in Alaska who need them the most.
In addition, you will receive the following:
The Daily Meter, the Alaska AAFA Chapter newsletter distributed quarterly
Opportunities to attend educational programs and support groups
Network with other concerned individuals throughout Alaska
