Retreat to Alyeska Resort
The 2024 Alaska Asthma & Allergy Conference will be held at the Alyeska Resort located at 1000 Alberg Drive in Girdwood, Alaska, a beautiful 40-mile drive southeast of Anchorage, along Turnagain Arm.
AAFA Alaska has negotiated a special room rate with the Alyeska Hotel: $289 + 12% tax + $20 resort fee. For reservations, call toll free 1-800-880-3880, or 907 -754-2111. To receive the special rate you must mention the Asthma & Allergy Foundation (AAFA) conference. The discounted room block is reserved through August 4.
NOTE: Space is limited. Reserve early. Be sure to reserve a room at the resort once you register for the conference to take advantage of the special rate. Once these rooms are gone, lodging costs will be higher with limited availability

- Standard rooms come with TV, safe, refrigerator, robes/slippers, and daily newspaper
- Pool, hot tub and fitness center
- Trail system, tramway to 2300 feet, and many other recreational opportunities.

Discount Room Reservation Responsibility
We look forward to seeing everyone at our 18th annual conference at Alyeska. We had a situation with the hotel arise in 2023. Some participants that reserved rooms changed plans and either canceled a night or checked out early. The hotel determined this to be an “attrition” of our room block and charged AAFA Alaska nearly $20,000 for these unoccupied rooms. Because of this, we are asking for your help in 2024.
AAFA Alaska contracts with Alyeska Resort to provide a block of hotel rooms at a special rate for attendees. If you book a special-rate room, you will be responsible for paying that reserved space, unless you cancel at least 3 weeks prior to the conference – i.e., not later than Aug. 15, 2024. If you are unable to commit to using a special rate room, please reserve outside the conference block of rooms for greater cancellation flexibility.
If you must cancel after Aug. 15 due to an emergency, please let us know. AAFA Alaska will try (but cannot guarantee) to find someone else to take your reserved room.
